Christopher Schwan

Realistic Pencil artist
North Carolina is home for self-taught artist, Christopher Schwan, who specializes in pencil drawings. Schwan has been refining his skills as a pencil artist since he was a young teenager.
Schwan's style is "realism" and he enjoys drawing subjects such as people, landscapes, and animals. Always improving his talent, he continues to take his art to new levels.
Schwan primarily uses a "rubbing" technique to create his work. He first applies the graphite to the paper and then uses a smooth material such as a chamois or lens cleaner cloth to smooth out the graphite. To add textures and other fine details, he uses mechanical pencils.
Inspired by the love and appreciation that others have for his art, Schwan enjoys sharing his natural talent with the rest of the world, finding much pleasure when collectors take notice. "There is no better feeling than when a collector takes great interest in my drawings."
