Christopher Schwan is very serious about protecting his art. He goes to great lenghths to ensure that is prints maintain their value and are secure from forgery. Each certificate is made of premium deckle edged mould made paper with a Hahnemuhle watermark and fluorescent security fibers. Two holograms with identical serial numbers are assigned to each print. The combination of certificate and holograms assures that each Certificate of Authenticity relates to one piece of art. One hologram is affixed to the certificate and the other onto the back of the print.
Authenticating a limited-edition print from a work of art is an important step in assuring that the collector is acquiring an authentic piece of art. This is also helpful when the collector sells a piece of art to another collector. Using this type of authentication will ensure that the art will have the best chance of maintaining, and possibly increasing in value over time.
